Sally Piefer Recognized as a 2010 Woman in the Law

WISCONSIN LAW JOURNAL NAMES WOMEN IN THE LAW FOR 2010

Tweny-two of Wisconsin’s top female attorneys, judges and educators have been named the 2010 Women in the Law by the Wisconsin Law Journal. The women selected have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields of practice and have advanced the status of women in law through their hard work and perseverance. In addition to being one of the Women in the Law honorees, one woman will be announced as the 2010 Woman of the Year at an awards luncheon on May 21, 2010 at the Italian Conference Center.

Also, a Lifetime Achievement Award has been prepared for the Honorary Barbara B. Crabb of the U.S. District Court, Western District, to honor her outstanding legal career in Wisconsin. Among her other achievements, Judge Crabb was the first woman appointed as a federal magistrate judge and later the first female district judge; the first female chief judge in the district; and the first woman district judge to sit by designation on the 7th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.
