Use of New I-9 Form Delayed by DHS

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has decided to delay the effective date of the new federal Form I-9 from January 30, 2009 to April 3, 2009. Employers may continue to use the current Form I-9 (Rev. 06/05/07) N until April 3, 2009, when the new Form I-9 (Rev. 02/02/09) N should be used.
